You read that correctly. Digital devices contribute to the carbon impact we leave behind. And while it’s not near the number of emissions produced by machines in our environment, fossil fuels, vehicles, or pollution, it’s still producing numbers, no less.

Each time we do a Google search for something, ‘Like’ posts on Facebook, send emails, etc. CO2 emissions are released into the atmosphere.

Again, it’s tiny compared to more common sources of pollution, but there are ways we can bring the number down.

In fact, many large companies such as Google, Gmail, Facebook, and Twitter are already making the necessary changes to help aid this effort.
